Her Story:
Phetsamone is my beautiful love from Laos. Her story
is really incredible. She was born in Champasak, Laos
around 1973. Later, at the end of the Viet Nam war, her
father deserted the Laos Army and the family fled to Thailand
fearing Communist reprisal. There she lived on an American
base in Thailand until the family could move to America.
Here she went to school learning to speak English in addition to
Laos and Thai. We met in college and began dating after
I graduated. Since then, she has become my best friend
and my wife. We hope to visit Thailand again soon.
